SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE

The first material to learn English grammar tenses is The Simple
Present tense. The Simple Present Tense is a tense that is mostly used, and because at most the discussion will also be longer. Simple meaning is simple, while the present is now. So it can be said that the Simple Present is a tenses (sentence pattern) used to describe the present time in a simple form. Another name than Present is FORM 1.
So whenever you see the present word in any tenses, you can be sure that he uses form 1 - what form? yes verb form, because all predicate is a mandatory verb, try looking at this basic grammar post. Try to see examples of sentences with Simple Present below

TOBE
I am a teacher
You are a teacher
We are teachers
She is a teacher
She is a teacher
It is my paint

If you observe, the sentence above all uses PREDICATE-1 or predicate in form 1, just look at the tobe not separated from AM - IS - ARE. The example above is The simple present tense in nominal form, because all the sentences use tobe-1
Are there other forms? There are, namely The Simple Present Tense in the form of VERBAL. That is, it does not have tobe but has a verb. Will be explained later. For now, we simply conclude that there are 2 (two) types of Simple Present, namely:

1. Nominal Simple Present
2. Verbal Simple Present

To change the NOMINAL SIMPLE PRESENT sentence into a negative (deny) or interrogative form (asking) is very easy, observe:

(+) You are a teacher
(-) You are NOT a teacher
(?) Are you a teacher?
