PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE


The Present Perfect Continuous reveals actions that have begun in the past and now continue. English tenses are also used to describe events that began in the past and have just finished.
Use
1. actions that have begun in the past and still continue now
2. the action that just stopped

Formula: Positive (+)
Subject + has / have + been + verb-ing
Negative (-)
Subject + has / have + not + been + verb-ing
Tanya (?)
Has / have + subject + been + verb-ing?

Example:
(+) I have been watching TV for two hours
(+) He has been playing football since elementary school
(-) Marina has not been learning english for two years
(?) Have you been reading a book for an hour?

The time statement (adverb of time) used,
"For" and "since" are times that are very commonly used in the Present
Perfect Continuous Tense
